Post Inspections

It is my intention to have all Posts inspected by the end of September. Items to be looked at are Minutes of Meetings, Audits, Financial disclosures from Auxiliaries and committees handling funds. Bonding of all handling funds. Activity Reports, and Compliance in accordance witht he Manual of Procedure, National and State requirements.

It is important that Posts understand that proper reporting is paramount to our survival as a Non-Profit organization. Please read Sections 214 Solicitation of Funds in the Manual of Procedure, paying particular attention to the handling of funds raised. Section 1301 Men's Auxiliary paragraphs (a) through (f). As there are Posts with other types of groups meeting or forming to meet, consisting of members of the post and utilizing Post facilities and Name they must comply with the Manual of Procedure and all By-Laws including National, State and Post. Remember; any activity must be approved by eighty percent of Members present at regular meetings. This paragraph is in answer to questions raised at the last District meeting and while visiting posts within and outside the District.

Sincerely,
Mike Johnson

District Three has posts in Anderson, Abbeville, Greenwood, and McCormick counties.
