State Adjutant Jimmy Lee Wallace gained his eligibility for membership by serving in Vietnam 1968-69.  Jimmy joined the United States Marine Corps at age 17 in 1967.  He served honorably for 21 years, and retired in 1988 with the rank of Gunnery Sergeant (E-7).  He then went to work for the VFW National Organization by serving as a Claims Consultant, Appeals Consultant, Special Assistant to the Director and as Operations Officer of the Tactical Assessment Center (TAC) for the National Veterans Service, retiring in 2009.  Jimmy then moved to South Carolina where be became the Department Service Officer for the VFW Department of South Carolina, until 2012.  In 2013, He became the State Adjutant, a position he has held for four (4)  Administrative Years.
