WELCOME TO DEPARTMENT OF SOUTH CAROLINA

2023-2024 Commanders Theme Moving Forward
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group. Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Commander's Corner

Commander Jim Fox

Comrades,

I would like to thank all the members of the State of South Carolina for putting their trust in me to be their Department Commander for 2023-2024. Moving forward is my motto and we will be doing just that. From raising much needed funds for our VSO office to honoring our POWS who returned for Hanoi Hilton 50 years ago.

We are looking to serve our veterans in rural location throughout our state, to help them get the benefits they deserve.

Membership is always at the top of our priorities and is no different this year. Our goal is 102% in total membership. Working closely with our auxiliaries is essential for our overall success for the Posts, Districts, and the Department.

We all must work together for our veterans and their families.

Let us all strive to be kind to each other and to make 2023-2024 a great year.

God Bless

Jim Fox

Department Commander

2023-2024
