My special
project:
My special project this year is the T*A**P*S
(Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) program. 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week, T*A*P*S provides compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a
military loved one.
T*A*P*S honors our heroes by caring for all those they
loved and left behind. TAPS Care Groups provide
emotional support and camaraderie for military survivors. Lasting relationships
are built on common threads. Local survivor support groups are encouraging and
enlightening.
Many find they learn new coping skills and stress-relieving
strategies by talking to others who can relate. They do this through peer-based emotional support, grief and trauma resources,
programming for adults and children across the country and casework assistance
to community-based care. Services are provided at no cost to survivors by
survivors with love and care. A
Carolinas Care Group meeting is held online and meets the 3rdThursday of every month.

Payment must be made to the Department Quartermaster by December 31st, 2022.
Commanders Special Project donation is minimum $50 or more and indicate Commanders Special Project on the memo line.
